  1. peanut says:

Versus seriously needs another network for help — there are too many potentially great games being left out over that first week of coverage. And yeah, I know, Center Ice will have them, but it shouldn’t have to come to that.

Also, call me skeptical: when Versus plans on picking up Cal-Chi or Van-StL in the middle, are they really going to leave them to show the SJ-Ana series from the start?

  2. stevelepore says:

@peanut: I do. I believe VERSUS has every intention of prioritizing every 7PM game they televise and the Anaheim/SJ series as VERSUS Original broadcasts. Everything else is a simulcast of a CBC/TSN production.

  3. Jason says:

My question is for those games that VS picks up in between the 7 pm games will they be avilable on Game Center Live or Center Ice.

  4. Leafsfan1967 says:

It looks like the Calgary Chicago series gets the short end of this stick for viewers in the US. Unless of course the NHL will put these games on NHLCI until Versus picks them up, but I wouldn’t hold my breath on that….

  5. dyhrdmet says:

I’m glad CBC got the Habs-B’s for HNIC on both Saturdays. Weird seeing them with what may be some sort of “regional” or whip-around coverage on a couple nights with a Canadian team in one game and 2 U.S. teams in the other.

  6. dyhrdmet says:

looking at this, as many as 21 games to be on Center Ice in the U.S., with 7 blacked out in the NYC area. NHL Network would not have been able to show EVERY game left off the Versus/NBC schedule, but even CBC can’t satisfy every game every night.

  7. wastedyears says:

    What about NHL Network?

  8. Chris says:

I notice that one of the Pens/Flyers games is only available on CBCSports.ca because CBC is showing one of the Canucks games on TV. I really hope TSN streams their TSN2 games online the way CBC does. If they don’t. it’s just another example of how TSN is lightyears away from being at CBC’s quality level. Good job on the whole schedule release by the way!

  9. Mossy Berg says:

Will the HNIC games be on NHL Network?

  10. leafsfan1967 says:

We should know in the next day or so if NHL Network will have any games but I suspect they will not.

  11. Bryan says:

Wow, NBC is showing Rangers-Caps and Pens-Flyers at every possible turn. How surprising. Seriously, I’m not going to complain about just about every game being on TV. I know they’re only pre-empting Sports Soup, WEC, and the like, but there’s no way ESPN (or any other network) would just shut down and show only hockey for two months straight.

  12. Marvin says:

Versus is a joke. Bettman is a moron. Versus is not a real TV network. Every playoff game should be broadcast in its entirety anything else is failure, continued failure.

  13. Ivan says:

God I hope Joe Beninati doesn’t call the Pens-Flyers series.

  14. tragos says:

ONE game out of the Bruins/Habs series nationally televised in the U.S. It’s one of the best rivalries in all of sports, never fails to be an exciting matchup, and it’s the #1 team in the East! How is this acceptable?

Any suggestions for out-of-towners without Center Ice looking to watch?

  15. clay says:

final score on giving me useful stanley cup tv schedule…
random blog i found on google: 1
    big media companies: 0

    kudos guys.

  16. Leafsfan1967 says:

Tragos…surely you jest?! There is a CANADIAN team playing in the Montreal Boston series we wouldn’t want a team from a foreign country getting too much screen time now would we?
