College Hockey Super-Conference to Head For VERSUS?

From Brad Schlossman of The Grand Forks Herald:

There have already been discussions with members of the new league and television executives about getting games nationally televised on Versus, which is expected to soon be re-branded as the NBC Sports Network.

This would give UND a greater range of exposure than the current deal with Fox College Sports and DirecTV.

Versus recently agreed to a 10-year contract extension to continue televising NHL games in the United States. The station typically broadcasts NHL games early in the week, which could leave the weekend open for college hockey.

Colorado College currently is a television partner with CBS College Sports. Denver has games on FSN Rocky Mountain.

Would to see that. Between the CCHA on the big 10 network and this I would always be able to get my college hockey fix. Get some national coverage Hockey East, Pinky, then college hockey can try to take over the world!

Kathryn tappen to join NHL Network…wonder if studios in CT are near complete or if shell have to travel to TO for now.

And the last reason to watch NESN has left the building.

Love Kathryn Tappen. She knows her stuff and is easy on the eyes. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of role they give her on NHL Network. Just hosting On the Fly, or more?

  3. Patrick says:

Pierre lebrun to TSN now. Jeff Marek to Rogers Sports Network. Kathryn Tappen to NHL Network… about NHL TV personalities being free agent frenzy.

  4. colton says:

Not to mention EJ Hradek to NHLN and possibly Barnaby to TSN or NHLN if ESPN lets him go.

  5. Trent says:

Barnaby did work for TSN during the 10-11 season already … nothing after the incident though.
