  1. kevin says:

This is pretty good but they should be able to get the American audience up to 6-7 million regularly. It can be done. Game 7s do 8 million once in a while and the Olympics did 30 million so the viewers are there

  2. Arthur says:

Not on a Saturday night. Will be interesting to see Game 2 numbers.

    • Chris S says:

Well I can’t speak for NBC, but I expect CBC’s viewership to be in the 5-6 million range tonight. Don’t forget, Canadian ratings for sports aren’t just people sitting at home, they also measure people watching in restaurants and bars too.

  3. e says:

The ratings will be hurt by this terrible schedule. There was only 1 game played in the last 7 days.

    • Trent says:

There was a 5 day break between games played and record ratings resulted for Game 1, destroying the old marks. How does your reasoning of long breaks hurting viewership jive with the record #s and long break for Game 1?

  4. Edward says:

I would say NHL has done a good job. They didn’t open on a long weekend and haven’t gone up against the NBA. I think their trying to maximize as much as they can. I’m excited to see the ratings. Just hope this series can go 6.
