NEW YORK/VANCOUVER – June 3, 2011 – The combined Stanley Cup Final Game 1

viewership in North America of 10.9 million (NBC, CBC, RDS) is the best for

a Game 1 on record (since 1994). The Boston Bruins-Vancouver Canucks Game 1

boasted a 36 percent increase over last year’s Game 1 between the Chicago

Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers, which averaged 8 million viewers in

North America.

The game drew 4.6 million viewers on NBC, 5.6 million on CBC and 714,000 on

French-language RDS. The 10.9 million viewers is also the fifth-best
