HNIC Round 3 Plans

The Vancouver Canucks are Canada’s remaining hope to bring the Stanley Cup north of the border and CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA is ready to cover all of the action with Round Three of the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Coverage begins on Saturday, May 14 with Hockey Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT followed by Game One of the Boston (#3) vs. Tampa Bay (#5) Eastern Conference Final series. CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA will also carry Games Five, Six and Seven of the series if necessary. Bob Cole will call the Eastern Conference Final best-of-seven matchup alongside analyst Garry Galley and Mike Milbury, while Scott Oake reports from ice level.

The Western Conference Final gets underway on Sunday, May 15, with Hockey Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET/ 4:30 p.m. PT, followed by the Vancouver Canucks facing off against either the San Jose Sharks or the Detroit Red Wings. Play-by-play man Jim Hughson and analyst Craig Simpson will call the series with Glenn Healy between the benches and Elliotte Friedman reporting from rinkside.

Each night during Round Three of the Vancouver / San Jose or Detroit series, Ron MacLean hosts CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA coverage of the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs on location with legendary Don Cherry, with insight and analysis from Mike Milbury and P.J. Stock throughout both Conference Final series complimented by the I-Desk with hosts Jeff Marek and Scott Morrison.

CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA continues to go live and interactive throughout the Playoffs on cbcsports.ca/hockey. Each CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA broadcast is streamed live and on-demand at cbcports.ca/hockey, where hockey fans can catch up to the minute news, features, previews, highlights and analysis for every game.

Marek will continue to host Hockey Night in Canada Radio on SIRIUS providing comprehensive coverage of the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs on SIRIUS Satellite Radio’s Channel 157 airing Monday through Friday from 3 – 6 p.m. ET (encore presentation from 7-10 p.m. ET).

CBC’s exclusive Punjabi broadcasts continue in Round Three, featuring the Vancouver / San Jose or Detroit series, live and on demand at CBCSports.ca. The Punjabi broadcasts will be available on Rogers – Channel 385, Telus – Channel 131, Shaw Cable – Channel 328, Shaw Direct – Classic 480 and Advanced 429. Viewers should contact their local service provider for more details. Harnarayan Singh will handle play-by-play duties while Amarinder Singh will provide analysis.

    I know this is off topic but can you confirm whether or not Versus is showing any more of the World Hockey Championships or is their coverage over?
