REPORT: CBC to Take Tampa/Pittsburgh, Detroit/Phoenix

Also, there’s a report that Blackhawks/Canucks Game 1 will air Wednesday at 10 PM ET, while Canadiens/Bruins Game 1 will be Thursday at 7 PM ET. We’ll know everything in half an hour.

Hockey Night in Canada will be home to both of the Canadian NHL clubs looking to bring the Stanley Cup north of the border in 2011.


The Vancouver Canucks will try to carry over their Presidents’ Trophy regular-season campaign success into the playoffs against the Chicago Blackhawks, with the games airing live on CBC Television and streaming at starting Wednesday at 7 p.m. PT (10 p.m. ET).


The eagerly anticipated Eastern Conference quarter-final series between the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins will also be carried by Hockey Night in Canada beginning on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET.


The Detroit Red Wings and Phoenix Coyotes opening round matchup as well as the Pittsburgh Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning series will also be broadcast by CBC, with the full NHL playoff schedule expected to be released later Sunday.
