FYI, it’s Elliotte (not Elliot) Friedman. Common mistake!!

  2. Dave Sullivan says:

Hey! try not to su…. uh, nevermind.

  3. Chris S says:

RDS’ crew is Pierre Houde and Benoit Brunet, host Alain Crete with analysts Jacques Demers and Joel Bouchard. Exactly the same crew that covers the Habs games.0

    • Jeremy says:

Jacques Demers wasn’t part of the broadcast – he officially retired from hockey broadcasting after the Canadiens loss to Philadelphia so that he can concentratre full-time on his duties with the Canadian Senate. I don’t believe Joel Bouchard was part of the broadcast either, although he will be returning next year for Canadiens coverage.

      • Chris S says:

My bad. I wasn’t really tuned in to the intermissions on RDS, I naturally assumed they were using the entire Habs crew for the Finals like they did before.

I heard Jacques Demers wasn’t returning, that’s too bad. He’s like the french Don Cherry, and very entertaining.

  4. Trent says:

Does RDS crew actually produce the games or do they voice over CBC or NBC feed?

    • Chris S says:

Yeah, RDS produces their telecasts in the Finals. I think they only started doing this last year because I remember seeing them use NBC’s feed in previous Cup Finals.

  5. leafsfan1967 says:

I think RDS produces their own games.

  6. Andrew says:

Dave Strader and Joe Micheletti called the game on the NHL’s international feed.
