Announcing a Puck the Media Contest: Win Copies of the NHL’s new Chicago Blackhawks and Washington Capitals DVD!

Warner Home Video and the NHL are releasing two brand new DVD sets today, “Washington Capitals 10 Greatest Games”, a 10-DVD set, and “Chicago Blackhawks Great Moments and Classic Games”, a 6-DVD set. I want to give you folks a chance to win a copy of both!

It’s pretty simple.  At 11AM, I will post a challenging question based on Blackhawks history.  There will likely be two or more parts to the question.  The first person to e-mail me at SMLepore@comcast.net with every element of the answer correct (NOTE: I will accept multiple submissions, if you e-mail me, I’ll tell you if you’re right or wrong) will win a free copy of the “Chicago Blackhawks Great Moments and Classic Games” 6-DVD set, courtesy of Warner.

Then, at 2:00 PM, there will be a similarly challenging question regarding the Washington Capitals.  The first person to answer that correctly will receive a free copy of the “Washington Capitals 10 Greatest Games” 10-disc set, again, courtesy of Warner.

Finally, at 5:00 PM, there will be a Puck the Media general knowledge question.  It’ll be something pertaining to broadcasting.  The first person to answer that question correctly will receive a copy of both the “Chicago Blackhawks Great Moments and Classic Games” and “Washington Capitals 10 Greatest Games” DVD sets in one pop!  A pretty good deal, if you ask me.

NEW YORK – Warner Home Video (WHV) and the National Hockey League (NHL) will release two DVD collector’s sets showcasing the rich traditions and proud pasts of two of the League’s top franchises. The Chicago Blackhawks® Great Moments and Classic Games six-disc collector’s set and the Washington Capitals® 10 Greatest Games 10-disc collector’s edition will hit stores on Tuesday, March 23.

Chicago Blackhawks Great Moments and Classic Games 6-DVD collection features many of the outstanding players and all-time great games in the Blackhawks’ 84-year history. The collection includes game and career highlights from fan favorites Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Denis Savard, Jeremy Roenick, Tony Amonte, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews.

The Blackhawks 6-Disc collection includes:

1961 Stanley Cup® Championship – Final 14 minutes of the third period in Game 6

1991 NHL® All-Star Game starting lineups and anthems – 1/19/91
