Worth noting that here in Canada, CTV recently (shockingly!) announced that all Team Canada hockey games will be live on all CTV channels, and the Men’s Gold Medal game itself, will be on CTV, TSN, and Rogers Sportsnet in English, on V and RDS in French, and also many different languages on the many OMNI channels, and APTN Native tv channel.

See, this just doesn’t make sense to me, in a way.

There isn’t a single soul in Canada who gets TSN or Sportsnet, but doesn’t get CTV. It just isn’t possible to have a television package like that, unless your receiver is broken and you can’t change the channel from TSN. THE GAME ONLY NEEDS TO BE ON ONE ENGLISH CHANNEL.

      It’s madness!

      • Chris says:

Probably due to TSN/Sportsnet’s higher picture quality. Some CTVs have absolutely terrible PQ.

The schedule is already up on nbcolympics.com, On the 21st Czech Republic-Russia will be on NBC.

Its a disgrace that the Canada-US game on Feb 21 is not on NBC. That should be on prime time on NBC, not a cable channel.
Not 1 US game is on NBC, which is a shame. SHows you what NBC really thinks of hockey!

  4. Chris says:

Yeah I was wondering that too. I get NBC in Canada so I was going to check out their hockey coverage too. Considering they show the NHL, you’d think they would show some Olympic hockey games, right?

  5. john says:

more importantly its on a cable news channel that has been droped by a few carriers or, like comcast pittsburgh, has moved it to digitial tier worse than what vs. is on.
