It’s Great to Be on NBC…

When Tom Hammond promoted the NHL On NBC Game of the Week during a Wild Card playoff game on Saturday, he stated it was “Nicklas Lidstrom and the Blackhawks taking on the Red Wings in Hockeytown U.S.A.”.  Nice call there, pal.

    Glad I wasn’t the only one who went, “Hmmmm,” when that promo came up. I swear he also called him Nicholas. I guess we should mostly be blaming the people who wrote said promo. Hammond only reads what he’s told. Clearly he’s not a hockey fan. I’m willing to bet that Al Michaels wouldn’t have made the same mistake!!
