I’m sure he meant Craig Simpson.
I must have had the fantastic Sporting News writer on the brain. Or was talking to him on Twitter. One of those.
…aaaaaaaand, we’re back to Toronto nation-wide, except in the specific markets where the other teams are from. Nuts to that.
My cable package gives me CBC North, CBC Vancouver, CBC Calgary, CBC Winnipeg, CBC Toronto and CBC Halifax, and I get all of one flippin’ game. Fabulous.
There is NO NHL Network coverage of HNIC live tomorrow night although the whole package is being shown on Sunday. So far it looks as if the only HNIC 7 PM feed on DirecTV will be Atlanta Montreal
What is going on with Hockey Night in Canada? Is the NHL network intentionally trying to kill it? First they cut the program in half, now suddenly they don’t even bother to broadcast it anymore? Answers anyone?
As part of their deal with USA Hockey, NHLN is required to carry some Women’s pre-Olympic telecasts. Saturday night was one of those games — it’s the only Saturday game on the schedule. Consider it the price NHLN pays for being able to carry the World Junior Championship. And because of the WJC, NHLN will have to pre-emt HNIC on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 for WJC night games.
