Wow! We get Doc Emrick tonight, this is good news! It could have been much worse…. 🙂

  2. stevelepore says:

Ditto Andy Brickley, one of the most unheralded analysts around.

  3. Leafsfan1967 says:

It’s nice to see Verus using neutral announcers for this game. It bothers me when they craft a broadcast team choosing a play by play guy from one team and a colour guy from another. I think neutrals are best.

Here’s hoping we will get lots of Doc now that the Devils are out. He is way better than anyone else Versus uses.

  4. Eric says:

    Isn’t it Night 19? 🙂

  5. stevelepore says:

@Eric: Is it? If so, I’ll change it. Walking around the Meadowlands the past two days kind’ve fried my brain.

@LeafsFan: He is calling the Pens/Caps series exclusively. For Games 3-5, he’ll be joined by Daryl Reaugh. Unfortunately (as I know you aren’t a fan), Beninati will be calling the Vancouver/Chicago series. Strader/Eliot are doing Detroit/Anaheim out West, and Forslund and Brick will re-team for Game 5 of Bruins/Canes.

  6. Chris says:

You put Darren Eliot instead of Andy Brickley.

Also, those who are going to be watching the Chicago-Vancouver series should probably try to find a webstream of the CBC feed rather than watch Versus. The difference between Jim Hughson and Joe Beninati is about the same as night and day.

  7. stevelepore says:

As we’ve said. Brain = Fried. Our bad.

  8. Scott says:

So, I’m assuming Rick Peckham is done? It’s a shame, I really enjoyed him.

  9. Andy brickley is awesome. This game ruled.

  10. Leafsfan1967 says:

@Steve>>Unfortunately (as I know you aren’t a fan), Beninati will be calling the Vancouver/Chicago series.<<

Oh Dear that IS distressing…. 😦

  11. clay says:
