So there you go. Most likely an Eastern Conference (Or Detroit) series will be covered on Saturday, with a Western Conference series on the Sunday. We’ll update this week to week as NBC announces more dates.
One game will be the Penguins…the other will be Detroit. I would bet the house on it unless the Pens are playing Montreal then they will go with the Rangers IF they can make the playoffs
I have no doubt that Pittsburgh, Detroit, or New York will be involved in these games, but a 3 p.m. (ET) start time does at least allow for the outside chance that a West Coast team could be hosting. A very, very, very outside chance – but it could be forced upon NBC come the conference finals and I doubt they’ll schedule any game to start later than 3 ET, especially on a Sunday.
