Canada’s unofficial hockey holiday is almost here! TIM HORTONSHOCKEY DAY IN CANADA drops the puck on its ninth annual broadcast on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 12 noon ET, as Ron MacLean hosts live from The Memorial Civic Centre in Campbellton, N.B. Don Cherry, Scott Morrison and Dick Irvin, as well as special guests Wendel Clark, Willie O’Ree, Paul Kelly, Danny Grant and Mark Napier, will join MacLean in Campbellton.
The TIM HORTONS HOCKEY DAY IN CANADA celebrations kick off on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. ET with a special edition of CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins hosting the Montreal Canadiens. Ron MacLean and Kelly Hrudey host the broadcast live from Plaster Rock, N.B., home of the 2009 World Pond Hockey Championship.
