Lots of NHL Network stuff so far this week.  The network has promised to double it’s distribution, and launched a talk show starring Dave Hodge.  They certainly are chugging along as far as new info and development goes.

The All-Star weekend, as you obviously know, is coming up and it’s one of those signature NHL events that NHL Network covers extremely well.  They usually immerse you at ice-level with player interviews and commentary during practices and show other fantastic stuff.

This year is no different, here’s what NHL Network is presenting for the 2009 All-Star Game:

Friday, January 23rd 

5:00 PM – Live from All-Star – Meet the Players

This is NHL Network’s event from the All-Star Game media day wherein they have sitdowns with all the players taking part in the game, as well as NHL luminaries, coaches and other media folk.

9:00 PM – 1980 All-Star Game

One of the previous All-Star games from Montreal.

Saturday, January 24th

10:00 AM – Practice Coverage

NHL Network takes you to ice-level with coverage of both team’s practices.

2:00 PM – 1993 NHL All-Star Game

Another Montreal All-Star event from the past.

4:00 PM – Live from All-Star: Red Carpet Show

NHL players will once again be making a red carpet entrance to the All-Star skills challenge, and NHL Network will be there.

9:00 PM – Live from All-Star: Post-Skills Show

NHL Network analysts wrap up the revamped skills competition.

Sunday, January 25th

NHL Network will provide pre- and post-game coverage from the All-Star Game in Montreal.
