The Sam Rosen-Jack Edwards Battle: What Happened and What We’ll Do About It

There are over 2,000 votes for the Sam Rosen-Jack Edwards battle in Puck the Media’s NHL Tournament of Announcers.  Why?  Because various websites (Sons of Sam Horn, HF) did some fancy technological whosits where they were able to vote 30-40 times consecutively.  How do we feel about this?  Well, we’re great with how many hits it gave us, but it made us ponder how to decide this battle.

Because both fanbases cheated, we’ve decided to simply eliminate both of them.  We’re going to go with a Final Three, instead of a Final Four.  What will happen is the following:

  1. The 3 “Clean” victors will have a three-way battle Tuesday night.
  2. The Top Two vote-getters move on to a Final on Wednesday night.
  3. Voting will be open for two days.

We’ll have all the details tomorrow night at 5:30 PM.

Puck the Media’s NHL Tournament of Announcers, Round 3, Match 4, Dick Irvin Jr. Bracket Final: John Forslund vs. Bob Miller

Here we have our second 1-2 seed battle in the elite eight of Puck the Media’s NHL Tournament of Announcers.  First things first, however.  Jack Edwards’ cinderella run continues to the final four, beating Sam Rosen to win the Dan Kelly bracket.  He’ll take on the winner of this matchup, as Hurricanes/VERSUS play-by-play man John Forslund takes on Hall of Famer/Hollywood Walk of Famer/Kings announcer Bob Miller.  24 Hours to go, vote away!
