12:00 p.m. ET – Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia, Game 6 (NBC/TSN)
3:00 p.m. ET – Boston vs. Washington, Game 6 (NBC/CBC)
8:00 p.m. ET – Los Angeles vs. Vancouver, Game 5 (NBC Sports Network/CBC)

I’m calling for a 3.0 for this game. If game 3 was a 2.3 and now we have a more even series. Plus, the drama. This is getting good! NBC and the NHL must be thrilled with this gem. This is the Detroit/Colorado of this era right now……
It’s possible. A lot will have to go right for them to pull in 4-5 million viewers.
It has to be a close game. Overtime would really help. Honestly, I could see 5 million if this game goes to OT. It’s a 12 start which is terrible, especially on a Sunday. I know it couldn’t be the 3pm game, but it would have a better chance at pulling in those big viewers if it started later.
Let’s be honest, there are more than 5 million hockey fans in the U.S, a lot more. But most hockey fans couldn’t careless about a game if their team isn’t playing. This Philly/Pitt series has 2 huge markets, with big fanbases, and stars. Along with 2 goalies that suck. Teams that hate each other, big hits, fights, and A LOT of goals. Most hockey fans in the U.S hate the Pens. With all of those factors, this series is drawing viewers that normally wouldn’t watch a series that didn’t involve their team.

If this is true and I suspect it's more true than we would like to think, this points out the difference between fans in the US and Canada. The CBC will get good ratings for the final. If NBC [ended up with a final between Ottawa and Vancouver the ratings would be terrible.
It’s definitely true. If Ottawa and Vancouver played in the Finals, they would be lucky to get 3 million viewers. Maybe they could get some decent ratings if it went to Game 7, but that’s about it.
That’s the problem with hockey fans in the US. If their team isn’t playing, they usually don’t watch. This Pens/Flyers series is drawing the attention of not only hockey fans, but casual sports fans. Which is obviously good for the sport and the NHL.
U hav lost ur mind this game will be no where close to 4/5mill or a 3.0. Calling a 1.8-2.2 rating
It could easily get 4/5 Million. But only if it goes to Overtime.
Okay, you wanna say I’m crazy? So before game 1 would’ve you predicted for it too get a 2.3? I don’t think so. But, looking at all of the ingredients, as kevin pointed out it has a chance.

I am crazy!!!!
2.7
The game will not be up against a nba game. But that early start could be a factor also in not getting a 3.0 but should help washington/boston.
You people are on glue…12 pm game….1.5….maybe 2.0 if its a good game….3.0? stop smoking that funny stuff
last week’s game was a 3pm eastern time start. 3.0 i meant for a overnight. Yes a lot of things have to go right…..but would you of predicted a 2.3 last week? no you wouldn’t of.
