do you mean to tell me that BOTH TSN and NBC are staying away from the Devils-Panthers game (with one or both of the local feeds being used nationally)?

    • Last year, this series wouldn’t have seen the light of day in the States, and would have been on TSN2 (as it is now) in Canada. I would love if NBC would leave Ottawa/New York Rangers alone until they get better announcers.

I would agree except that the CBC in their wisdom are using Bob Cole And he’s not exactly on top of his game any more.

  2. Cole has Garry Galley, who is still better than Forslund and Hayward. Better camera work and they show the anthems. I’d rather watch RDS than Brian Hayward.

  3. I’ve noticed a decline in Cole this year over even last playoffs. I still don’t think there are many I’d rather hear do Senators games to be honest.

Cole also has Healy, who is equally as bad a Hayward.

RDS has actually be excellent. Pierre Houde and Marc Denis are doing that series. They were on-site for the two games in Ottawa with an RDS production. The games in New York were simulcasts and Houde/Denis were commentating from a studio.

I’d much rather watch the CBC as well. I just cringe a bit when I hear Bob Cole not knowing when penalties are called and not knowing players games. But CBC & TSN are still better broadcasts. In fairness though NBC are doing a good job this year.

    • With all due respect, Healy on his worst day is better than anything we’ve seen from Hayward in this year’s playoffs.

I agree I do prefer CBC and TSN. All I’m saying is Bob Cole isn’t what he used to be, and on the whole NBC has been doing a decent job. Remember this time last year when we had to endure Joe Benihaha?
