Ottawa’s games are actually televised locally on Sportsnet East – the channel that covers the Ottawa Valley east to Newfoundland.
One has to wonder why a few of these teams have 81 games televised instead of a full national/local slate of 82. I don’t know if that would be more frustrating to me than having only 69 televised.
In some cases, it’s because they anticipate that a particular broadcaster is going to step in and carry it, it just hasn’t been announced officially yet.
No hnic on sat opener…..bruins n tampa it will be on nhl network
NHL Network doesn’t carry the first few weeks of HNIC, knowing that NHL Center Ice, with its free preview, will carry the HNIC games.
The NHL Network has been slowly dropping HNIC content. It’s a shame because it’s the only way those of us in the States get to see HNIC in Hd….
