I admit I haven’t been paying close attention to the scheduling lately, but it sure seems like flipping the start times for these two games would make sense. An 8pm start time for DET-SJ would be better for viewers on the west coast. The other series, meanwhile, doesn’t have to worry about the west coast.
There was Northeastern University’s commencement today at the TD Garden and therefore the reason for the late start.
Why isn’t NHL Net picking up BOS-PHI tonight?
I’m guessing that Versus wanted both games and show BOS/PHI during the second intermission of the SJ/DET game. NHL Network has all the pre-game and post-game stuff from both games.
Should have been SJ-DET at 6pm ET, PHI-BOS at 8:30pm ET. I know it’s early for Detroit, and a little late for Boston, but it’s better than the constant flipping between TSN and CBC I will be doing tonight.
You do realize that this would mean the game would start at 3 p.m. local time–on a weekday–for San Jose?
I realize that. There’s no way TD Garden could have had a 6 pm start.
Ray Ferraro is not between the benches tonight probably because of space considerations.
Will they move game 5 of DET/SJ to NBC, I wonder?
I already posted, No.
”I already posted, No.”
Where?
