Christine Simpson Joins Devils Crew

Christine Simpson has joined the Devils’ MSG Plus broadcast team as a host and will make her first appearance on Thursday night when the team faces the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre. She joins Mike “Doc” Emrick, Glenn “Chico” Resch, Steve Cangialosi and Ken Daneyko. Simpson’s first host appearance will come on Nov. 24 when the Devils play the Calgary Flames. She will host when Cangialosi moves over to call play-by-play.

“Christine has grown up around hockey, and her knowledge and passion for the sport shine through on air,” said Jeff Filippi, senior vice president and executive producer of MSG Networks. “We’re thrilled to have her join one of the top broadcast teams in the sport.” Simpson, whose brother Craig is a former NHL player, was raised in London, Ont. “I’m very excited to be joining the Devils broadcast team on MSG Plus,” Simpson said in a statement. “Not only am I looking forward to working with a crew that includes some of the best in the business, I think everyone in the hockey world is expecting big things from the Devils this season. I’m just lucky enough to have a front row seat.”

Why would anyone go to Jersey? I can’t imagine anyone wanting to go there. I mean Newark? The Devils have NO fans. They have the biggest signing all summer in Kovy and attendance drops. The Rangers are north Jersey and the Flyers are south Jersey. The Devils should move to Milwaukee. They would be huge there…

PLEASE………..Devils make the biggest signing all summer….play in a brand new arena….start the season against some of the biggest draws…Bos/Pitt…and they are only averaging 13,900? Its sad when Nashville and Tampa are bigger hockey towns
