One Response to Your 2010-11 NHL TV Superschedule

  1. Josh says:

Great stuff, Steve. A few initial thoughts:
-It’s great to see that CBC is airing every single Saturday night game involving a Canadian team. From what I can tell, there are three Saturday afternoon games they didn’t pick up (one each for Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary), but during their Saturday night exclusivity window, they have picked up every last game. That’s fantastic, because I know that in previous seasons, there had been some games they didn’t air and because of the exclusivity, it meant that no other broadcaster could air them either.
-Why does NBC even go through the charade of having “flex” games some weeks? Does anyone think they’re going to be broadcasting St. Louis-Tampa Bay on Feb. 6 or NJ-Columbus on March 20? Anyone at all?
-I am very surprised that there won’t be a full HNIC on December 26th. The Leafs, Habs, Sens, Oilers and Canucks are all playing that night. I figured it would be a special Sunday edition of the show, but I guess those games will be scooped up by Sportsnet/Sportsnet One and maybe Leafs TV instead.
