NHL Net to Air Heritage Classic Presser, Research & Development Camp

The NHL Network will take a break from classic games to report on two of the bigger events on the calendar in August.

The Heritage Classic, which will pit the Montreal Canadiens and Calgary Flames against one another at Calgary’s McMahon Stadium, will hold a press conference announcing the event tomorrow evening at 5:00 PM ET/3:00 PM MT on NHL Network and NHL.com.  Among those in attendance will be the Sutter brothers, Flames GM Daryl and coach Brent, Flames players Steve Staios, Curtis Glencross and Cory Sarich, Habs defenseman Josh Gorges, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and Hockey Night in Canada senior producer Sherali Najak.

NHL On the Fly will awake from it’s mostly summer-long slumber to air back-to-back nights of coverage of the NHL/Gatorade Research, Development and Orientation Camp.  The camp features 36 of the top prospects for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft in what the NHL calls “ensuring that the NHL game on the ice keeps soaring, rather than giving it another shot of adrenaline.”  On the Fly will air nightly half-hour broadcasts from Toronto on August 18th an 19th at 10:30 PM ET.
