  1. Chris S says:

The different CBCs across Canada are showing it at 8:30 local time, which makes no sense, considering they have no problem showing soccer live coast-to-coast at 7am.

    • Josh says:

I imagine the staggered times are so it doesn’t interfere with “The National”, which is an issue that doesn’t arise when you’re talking about morning hours.

    • Josh says:

And c’mon: CBC basically for two months of the year, every year, becomes the NHL Network. Are you really complaining that CBC doesn’t give hockey enough priority?

      • Chris S says:

In 2010, things like these should be broadcast live. TSN had nothing on last night, hell, TSN2 could have shown it. I’m glad TSN is showing the Draft tomorrow night, cause you know CBC can’t pre-empt things like Wheel of Fortune or Coronation Street for that.

    • It was live in Atlantic Canada, I guess you will just have to move east. ;)

I don’t see whats wrong with delaying an awards show by an hour or two. For years ESPN delayed the ESPYs by a few days. They probably wanted them as a lead-in to The National.
