Hawks Allowed Precedence Over Cubs on Radio For Final

Chicago, IL (May 25, 2010) — WGN Radio today announced that the station will air all of the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Finals games that would normally conflict with Chicago Cubs broadcasts. The conflicting Cubs games will be heard on 560 AM on June 2, June 4 and possibly June 9 (if game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals is necessary).

“Allowing all Stanley Cup Final games to air on WGN Radio 720 is another example of our great longtime partnership with the Cubs organization,” said Tom Langmyer, Vice President/General Manager of WGN Radio. “We deeply appreciate the Cubs’ community leadership in cheering on the Blackhawks during their historic Stanley Cup Finals run. We also are pleased to present the WGN broadcast of the Chicago Cubs on our companion station, 560 AM.”
