Doc and Edzo are in Montreal getting ready for the NBC game tomorrow. John Forslund and presumably Darren Eliot are calling SJ-CHI Game 3 tonight.
Foslund and Eliot are calling the game tonight because Doc and Edzo have the afternoon game tomorrow for NBC.
And, yet, Pierre McGuire IS doing the game on TSN even though he’s also doing tomorrow afternoon’s game on NBC.
Maybe his bosses at TSN aren’t as accomodating as those at VERSUS for Doc and Edzo. Still, if players can back up day after day, you figure commentators can, too.
Maybe he just has a better travel agent.
Seriously, I think his TSN work trumps his NBC contributions – he was absent from a few NBC telecasts at the beginning of the playoffs because it would have conflicted with his work on the Canadiens-Capitals series for TSN.
