Will or Will Not Versus Actually Go All Out On Hockey The Week After the Olympics?

Yesterday, we linked you to VERSUS.com’s “Upcoming Games” for the rest of the NHL season, and it listed the following:

Mar. 1: Detroit at Colorado, 9:00
Mar. 2: Philadelphia at Tampa Bay, 7:30
Mar. 2: New Jersey at San Jose, 10:30
Mar. 3: Washington at Buffalo, 7:00
Mar. 4: TBD, 7:00

Now, the site lists the following:

Mar. 1: Detroit at Colorado, 9:00
Mar. 2: Philadelphia at Tampa Bay, 7:30
Mar. 8: Dallas at Washington, 7:00
Mar. 9: NY Islanders at Philadelphia, 7:30

Now this is before the Washington game started, so you can’t say that this was an attempt to show games in which the Capitals break the record that were then pulled.  It also doesn’t explain why the New Jersey-San Jose game – that VERSUS showed as being telecast on a Hockey Central video – is gone as well.

Also, there’s this image:

Both Nate Ewell and Kevin Snow, who work in the Washington and Buffalo media relations departments respectively, declined having any knowledge of that game being picked up, so this certainly is fishy.

I hope to get an answer on this… eventually.  Stay tuned.
