Is there a reason why NHLN isn’t airing the Sweden-Czech Republic game live? It’s not like they are showing anything else at 2, just a replay of last year’s Winter Classic.
I think Bob Cole is doing the Toronto game and Hughson & Simpson are doing the Van-Edm HNIC late game
JKRDevil — I am guessing there’s 2 reasons NHLN tape-delayed SWE-CZE:
1) They didn’t want to join the CAN-LAT game in progress. After the US team, the Canadians are the most compelling team for a US audience. Plenty of Canadian kids have/will be drafted by US teams. Coming on at 4:00 sharp allowed them to show the CAN-LAT game in its entirety.
2) SWE-CZE on tape delay is a much better lead-in to USA-SVK than any of the other dreck NHLN has in their programming vault.
