We’d love to see John Tortorella try to coach team USA and ignite a little fire in them himself. Regardless of whether he does or not, he’s got his pick for the 2010 squad, after Pierre McGuire gave his on Tuesday. Here goes:
Goaltenders:
Miller
Thomas
DiPietroDefense:
Martin/Rafalski
Suter/Komisarek
Whitney/E. Johnson
GleasonForwards:
Parise/Stastny/Kane
Pominville/Kessel/Brown
Kesler/Drury/Wheeler
Booth/Gaustad/Backes
Stafford
Do you agree or disagree? What are your picks for Team USA?
Obviously this guy makes a better coach than GM……Liles should be on D somewhere. Gomez will probably be there as well. Don’t forget Jack Johnson either
I actually don’t mind these picks. I love, I mean love, Torts recognizing Paul Martin from New Jersey and the awesome job he’s doing. I also wouldn’t mind Jack Johnson over Whitney or Gleason, but otherwise, solid picks all around. To be honest, Gomez and Drury should be nowhere on this list if you’re judging it by their play this past season. Modano and Guerin both deserve it over them at this point.
